Peaster is one of those Parker County places that's bigger than its town-limits population suggests. The Town of Peaster proper holds about 120 residents, but Peaster ISD — which serves a wide rural area along FM 920 north of Weatherford — enrolls roughly 900 students K–12 and packs Greyhound Stadium on Friday nights. The community runs on agriculture, ranching, and a strong volunteer-fire tradition. It's the kind of town where the post office and the school district are the social center, and the dome-roofed Methodist church on the main road has been there for a hundred years.
