Blake Glass named head choir director at Aledo High School

Aledo ISD has named Blake Glass the new Head Choir Director at Aledo High School. Glass has led the choir program at Western Hills High School in Fort Worth ISD since 2020, where he quadrupled enrollment, coached 10 Texas All-State Choir members and produced 11 UIL Sweepstakes-winning choirs; he was Western Hills' 2025–26 Teacher of the Year. He has also served as music director at Saint Matthew United Methodist Church since 2021 and was assistant conductor of the Greater Dallas Choral Society youth chorus in 2024–25. Glass holds a bachelor's in choral music education from Mississippi College and is pursuing a master's in choral conducting at Texas State University.
