Weatherford Art Association turns 60, marking the anniversary by spotlighting its members

The Weatherford Art Association is celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2026 by featuring the work of its members, the Weatherford Democrat reports. What began in 1966 with a handful of Weatherford artists gathering to make, talk about and promote art has grown into a nonprofit of more than 65 members. President Kathy Cunning says the group is searching for a permanent home large enough for meetings, a gallery and studio space for lessons, to help support the future of art in Parker County. The association meets on the fourth Monday of each month at the Parker County Senior Center.
