Weatherford bareback world champion Rocker Steiner out ~3 months for neck surgery
Reigning PRCA Bareback Riding World Champion Rocker Steiner of Weatherford is expected to miss approximately three months of competition after undergoing neck surgery scheduled for June 2. Steiner had been battling ongoing neck issues throughout the early portion of the 2026 season while continuing to compete near the top of the PRCA standings. He won his first PRCA Bareback Riding World Championship at the 2025 National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas. Steiner is the son of world champion steer wrestler Sid Steiner and grandson of bull rider Bobby Steiner — one of rodeo's most recognized families. His three-month absence covers much of the high-earnings summer rodeo circuit, potentially shifting the world-title standings heading into the fall.
